Carney Island Conservation/Recreation Area: 13275 SE 115th Ave., Ocklawaha, FL 32179 (352)671-8560. 685 acres, restrooms, swimming, beach volleyball, horseshoe pit, playground, picnic tables and grills. Four miles of hiking and biking trails through natural areas.

Coehadjoe: 4225 NE 35th Ave., Ocala, FL 34479 (352)629-8358. Lighted tennis, basketball, and racquetball courts. Volleyball, picnic tables, and grills. Walking and bike trails, playground and an open playfield. Group rental facilities. Handicapped accessible restrooms.

Eureka East & West Boat Ramps: Ocklawaha River Eureka off CR 316, Ocklawaha, FL 32179 (352)671-8560. Both parks provide a boat ramp and bank fishing.

Ft. King Tennis Center: 3310 SE Ft. King Street, Ocala, FL 34470 (352)629-8453.

Horseshoe Lake Cabin Retreat & Conference Center: 10780 HWY 318, Orange Springs, FL 32182 (352)671-8560. 220 acres of hardwood hammock and pines nestled around a 500 acre sand bottom lake. The retreat includes 3 cabins, mess hall and conference center.

Jervey Gantt Park: 2200 SE 36th Ave, Ocala, FL 34471 (352)629-8358. Largest park in Ocala, approx. 56 acres. Offers outdoor volleyball, tennis, basketball and racquetball/handball courts, baseball and softball fields, 2 mile walking trail, soccer and football fields, playgrounds, picnic tables, restrooms, pavilions and community centers. New is the Hampton Pool Aquatic Family Fun Center.

Juniper Springs Recreational Area: 26701 E. Hwy 40, Silver Springs, FL 34488 (352)625-3147. 79 Campsites. oblong pool, 135 ft long and 80 ft wide. Activities include: Camping, swimming, canoeing, hiking, museum. Facilities: Parking, bathrooms, visitor center, picnic tables, concessions. It is known for its superb scenery and canoeing.

K.P. Hole Park: 9435 SW 190th Ave, Dunnellon, FL 34432 (352)489-3055. On the Rainbow River offers Picnic area, restrooms, canoeing and tubing.

Marshall Swamp Trailhead: 8282 SE HWY 314, Ocala, FL 34470 (352)671-8560. Walking trails, restrooms, and parking.

Moorehead Park: 20740 NE 140th Street, Fort McCoy, FL 32134 (352)671-8560. This 2.4 acre park has a boat ramp, restrooms, picnic tables and barbecue grills.

Moss Bluff Recreation Area: CR 464 and SE 96th Street Road, Ocklawaha River, FL 32179 (352)288-8999. 30 Acres. Areas south and north of dam, two boat ramps, restrooms, handicapped accessible, fishing dock and bank fishing.

Oakcrest Park: 2232 NE Jacksonville Road, Ocala, FL 34470 (352)840-5606. This park offers a one mile, clay surface walking and jogging trail, formal gardens, picnicking, handicapped accessible and is open from sunrise to sunset.

Ocala National Forest: Just east of Ocala. The U.S. government created this 387,000 acre preserve to protect valuable woodland.

Orange Springs Boat Ramp: NE 245th Street Road, Orange Springs, FL 32182 (352)671-8560. 15 acres, boat ramp, picnic tables, and grills.

Orange Springs Park: CR 21 and CR 315, Orange Springs, FL 32182 (352)671-8560. This park provides picnic tables, grills, a playground, and is handicapped accessible on one acre.

Rainbow Springs State Campground: 18185 SW 94th Street, Dunnellon, FL 34432 (352)489-5201. Offers 105 campsites, boat ramp, restrooms with showers.

Recycle Park: 3000 SE 32nd Ave., Ocala, FL 34471 (352)629-8358. New unique park includes recycle igloos, new playground equipment, 4 pavilions, restrooms, and picnic tables all made from completely recycled materials.

Ray Wayside Park (Ocala Boat Basin): East SR 40, Silver Springs, FL 34488 (352)236-2409. Boat Ramp on Ocklawaha River.

Salt Springs: N. Hwy 19, Salt Springs, FL 32134 (352)685-2048. Recreational area plus 206 campsites.

Santos Trailhead: SE 80 Street and US 441 South, Ocala, FL 34470 (352)236-7143. Mountain biking facility for all levels of riders.

Silver River State Park: 1445 NE 58th Ave, Ocala, FL 34488 (352)236-7148 State Park/Camp, (352)236-5401 Museum. Walking trails, museum, picnic tables, restrooms, handicapped accessible, camping and cabins.

Tuscawilla Park: 300-899 NE Sanchez, Ocala, FL 34470 (352)629-8358

Weirsdale Park: 16285 SE 137th Court, Weirsdale, FL 32195 (352)671-8560. 2.5 acres, picnic tables and grills, walking trail, basketball court, parking, handicapped accessible and playground.

The Marion County YMCA Family Center, located in beautiful Ocala, Florida, boasts one of the largest and most fully-equipped YMCA's in Florida! This facility sits on 19 acres of beautiful green hills. It currently serves more than 6,000 Marion county residents with quality programs and services annually.
